Roma Secure Crucial Victory: Ranieri Praises Team’s Best Performance

Start

In a hard-fought match at the Penzo Stadium,  Roma emerged victorious against Venezia with a 1-0 win, courtesy of a Paulo Dybala penalty in the 57th minute. Following the game, Roma’s manager Claudio Ranieri shared his thoughts on the team’s performance, expressing satisfaction with their display.

“I’m satisfied because I was aware of the match’s difficulties,” Ranieri stated. “Getting a result here meant playing a great game. Venezia, in their last 10 matches, have always won or lost by a one-goal margin.”

The experienced coach praised his players’ execution of the game plan, emphasizing their focus and attentiveness throughout the match. “The boys were splendid; they did everything as we had prepared. We were always concentrated and attentive. I’m really satisfied. In many aspects, it was our best performance,” Ranieri added.

Reflecting on the team’s attitude, Ranieri noted, “Except for some particular cases, the boys always give 100%. Those who take the field always try to give their best.”

The clean sheet was a particular point of pride for the manager. “Perhaps it wasn’t a magnificent game from a technical point of view, but in terms of attention, I’m satisfied,” he remarked.

Looking ahead to their upcoming Champions League clash against Porto, Ranieri remained cautiously optimistic: “Now Porto awaits us, and we’ll try our best to put in a great performance. I’ll be satisfied if the team continues to do everything as they’re already doing. I can’t promise anything except great application.”
