Roma make first offer for Matias Soule

Start

Roma have intensified their pursuit of Juventus’ Matías Soulé, with negotiations progressing rapidly. The Giallorossi have secured an agreement with the 21-year-old Argentine attacker and have now submitted an official bid to Juventus.

Calciomercato report that the offer from Roma stands at €25 million, including bonuses. However, Juventus is hoping to secure at least €30 million for the talented youngster. So far, even Leicester City, newly promoted to the Premier League, hasn’t matched this valuation.

Soulé, who has expressed a preference to remain in Italy, has already accepted Roma’s contract proposal. The offer includes a five-year deal worth €2 million net per season plus bonuses. This is in contrast to Leicester’s reported willingness to offer €3 million net annually.

The Argentine forward has recently returned to Juventus following a loan spell at Frosinone. Despite the club’s relegation to Serie B, Soulé impressed with 11 goals in 36 league appearances, showcasing his potential and attracting interest from several clubs.

Roma’s pursuit of Soulé comes after their unsuccessful attempt to sign Federico Chiesa from Juventus. The capital club seems determined to strengthen their attacking options and views Soulé as a prime target for the upcoming season.
