Roma make enquiry about Juventus defender Dean Huijsen

Start

Roma have made contact with Juventus to enquire about the availability of young Dutch defender Dean Huijsen. The Giallorossi find themselves in the midst of an injury crisis and are lacking a number of first choice centre-backs for their upcoming Coppa Italia match with Cremonese. News from Corriere dello Sport confirmed that UEFA have also imposed a limit of €1.5 million for the clubs January transfer spend, severely impacting their ability to sign any defensive reinforcements.

Sky Sport Italia now report that there is ‘confirmation’ that Roma have made more than make an enquiry for Juventus’ Dean Huijsen.

The Bianconeri have already made an agreement with Frosinone a loan the 18-year-old, but the deal is yet to be finalised, although the young defender is apparently more keen on moving to Roma.

Roma’s enquiry and José Mourinho’s confirmation that he would find space immediately could have swayed the Dutchman, who is now pushing for a move to the Giallorossi. Despite this, Juventus would like to respect the agreements they’ve made with Frosinone.

The Bianconeri met with the Dutchman’s entourage at Continassa earlier today to discuss the situation. Frosinone, meanwhile, are waiting while Roma hope to get centre-back on a dry loan and give José Mourinho a new defender.
