Roma have turned their attentions to veteran striker Marko Arnautovic as they look to find a stand-in for Tammy Abraham. The English forward is expected to be out until later in the year, leaving Roma with just Andrea Belotti to play as an out-and-out number nine.
The club have also been linked with a move for Santos striker Marcos Alonso, but also reportedly want a move experienced option in their strike-force.
Il Corriere dello Sport report that after missing out on their number one target Gianluca Scamacca, the Giallorossi are now making a €3.5m bid to Bologna for Arnautovic. The Rossoblu, however, want at least €10 million for the veteran, but the clubs are expected to continue talks to reach an agreement.
The 34-year-old Austrian has spent two seasons in Serie A with Bologna, racking up 25 goals in 57 appearances across all competitions.
