Roma have joined the race to for Bayer Leverkusen striker Sardar Azmoun and look set to battle it out with Milan for his signing. The Rossoneri were reported as having an interest in the 28-year-old forward last week and had reportedly agreed personal terms with the Iranian international.
German newspaper Kicker suggested that Milan were first looking to sell Belgian striker Divock Origi before committing to signing Azmoun, but they may have competition on their hands.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano now reports that Roma have made their interest in Azmoun known and have already submitted a bid for the Leverkusen man.
According to Romano, the decision will now be down to the player, and he’s expected to may a definitive choice in the coming hours.
