Roma eyeing Juventus star Federico Chiesa in potential summer move

Start

Roma are being strongly linked with a summer move for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, who is out of contract in 2025. The Bianconeri winger is reportedly yet to begin talks with the club over a new deal, with some suggesting that the future of coach Max Allegri may play a role in the players decision.

Roma are now expressing significant interest in Chiesa, whose name is increasingly associated with a surprising transfer to the Italian capital. The speculations, which initially surfaced earlier in the week, have gained momentum in recent days, with a report from Il Tempo today affirming that Chiesa could emerge as Roma’s top priority ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Chiesa, formerly of Fiorentina, has just one year remaining on his contract with Juventus, and according to the newspaper, Juventus are open to the prospect of offloading the player and would seek a minimum fee of approximately €14 million to avoid financial losses.

This potential deal presents an appealing opportunity for Roma, albeit with the major hurdle of Chiesa’s substantial salary of €5 million. However, Roma could accommodate this salary once Romelu Lukaku concludes his loan spell at the club.
