Reports from Italy suggest Roma have secured a verbal agreement for the acquisition of Empoli’s attacking midfielder, Tommaso Baldanzi. Following the successful signing of Angelino from RB Leipzig, Roma continue to strengthen its squad, this time eyeing the promising talent of Baldanzi.
Sky Sport Italia report that the Giallorossi are not only focusing on additions but are also actively working on player departures. Marash Kumbulla and Andrea Belotti are among the names circulating in transfer discussions. Kumbulla is reportedly heading to Sassuolo, while Belotti is on the verge of joining Fiorentina.
The negotiations with Empoli for Baldanzi have progressed positively, with the club aiming to finalize the deal in the coming days. The Giallorossi, led by their sporting director Tiago Pinto, are working diligently to bring the young talent to the capital.
An informal agreement has been reached between Roma and Empoli, pending the completion of necessary paperwork. The deal is structured around a base fee of 13 million euros, supplemented by additional bonuses. Additionally, Empoli secures a 20% stake in any future resale of the player.
Baldanzi is reportedly prepared to make the move to Rome and is expected to arrive tonight. However, it’s worth noting that he will not be eligible for inclusion in the UEFA squad. The talented playmaker has already bid farewell to his teammates and club officials, eagerly awaiting the green light to embark on this new chapter in his career.
