Franck Ribery will not be part of new Salernitana coach Stefano Colantuono’s staff, despite reports he was looking to return to the club. The Frenchman retired from football in 2022, playing his final season oof professional football with the Serie A minnows.
Reports from Italy had suggested that with Fabio Liverani’s sacking, Ribery would be making a return to the club as part of Stefano Colantuono’s staff.
Sky Sport Italia now confirm that Ribery ultimately chose not to accept the role as he prefers to stay in Munich with his family. The Frenchman may also take up coaching a youth team at Bayern Munich in the upcoming season.
