AC Milan’s Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders recently shared his thoughts on his national team success, his future with Milan, and the club’s prospects for the season. The 25-year-old expressed his satisfaction with the Netherlands’ qualification for the Nations League quarter-finals and his eagerness to return to Milan after the international break.

Reflecting on his international duties, Reijnders stated, “I’m happy about qualifying for the Nations League quarter-finals. Now there’s another game with Bosnia, and then I’ll return to Milan.”

Regarding Milan’s performance in Serie A, Reijnders remains confident despite recent challenges. He said, “We need to improve in the league, but I’m confident about the match against Juventus. I don’t think it’s too late for the Scudetto. There are few teams within a few points of each other, and we’re evolving as a team.”

The midfielder also touched on Milan’s Champions League campaign, emphasizing the team’s control over their fate. “In the Champions League, our destiny is in our own hands. We want to finish in the top eight to go directly to the round of 16,” he explained.

When asked about his contract renewal with Milan, Reijnders confirmed ongoing discussions but remained discreet about the details. He expressed his long-term commitment to the club, stating, “Until I’m in my thirties, I still see myself at Milan. It’s one of the most beautiful clubs in the world, and it’s an honor to play here.”

Reijnders also spoke about the significance of wearing the number 14 shirt, famously associated with Johan Cruyff. “Wearing Cruyff’s number 14 shirt is very special, and I’m happy in Milan,” he added.
