Real Betis Intensify pursuit of Enzo Le Fee

Start

Real Betis are setting its sights on Italy once again to bolster its midfield. While negotiations for Arthur from Juventus are well underway, despite some recent hurdles, the Spanish club has also turned its attention to Enzo Le Fee. The midfielder, who joined Roma from Rennes last summer, has already found himself on the fringes of the Giallorossi project.

According to Il Tempo and confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish club are seriously interested in acquiring the 24-year-old to further strengthen their midfield. Le Fee has reportedly already given his approval to Betis, a club that has been tracking him for years. They have apparently approached Roma’s sporting director Ghisolfi after observing the French player’s limited playing time this season. Betis is now working to bring him to Seville as soon as possible.

Le Fee arrived in Rome with high expectations following a €23 million transfer last summer. However, his time in the Italian capital has been marred by setbacks. Initially, he had to contend with a collateral ligament injury, which was followed by numerous appearances on the bench. In his first few months with Roma, he has made just ten appearances, six of which were as a starter, accumulating a mere 460 minutes of playing time. More tellingly, he has been an unused substitute in six of the last seven league matches, a clear indication that he is not central to manager Claudio Ranieri’s plans.
