French newspaper L’Equipe report that PSG do not intend to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappé with just one man, but the priority remains Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. Mbappé has reportedly confirmed that he will leave the reigning French champions in the summer, with Real Madrid expected to sign him on a free transfer.
According to L’Equipe, “the savings generated by the departure of their top striker amount to around 200 million euros per year, which still provides a fairly clear margin to convince some talented players.” And “Osimhen would not be opposed to a return to Ligue 1, after a season at Lille (2019-2020) where he was brought by Luis Campos.”
L’Equipe also writes that Aurelio De Laurentiis, “after being inflexible last summer by ensuring that he would not leave for less than 150 million euros, may now lower his demands.”
However, PSG have many names on their agenda, with Bernardo Silva, who has a release clause of around 60 million euros. Alongside, Rafael Leao is a long-standing target, “although he is a winger and the club is already well equipped.”
But “the reigning French champions are also considering signing very young players who have already established themselves at the highest levels, such as Gavi,” or Leny Yoro.
In any case, L’Equipe concludes, “the real question PSG must answer is: who will lead the summer transfer market?
