A report from French media claims that Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi as been in contact with José Mourinho over a possible future move to the club. The news comes following a string over poor results for the Parisian side which has led to serious doubts over coach Christophe Galtier’s tenure at the club.
French journalist Santi Aouna writes that the French coach has been met with scepticism in the PSG dressing room, and he has been able to find the discipline needed to deal with some individual players.
In Doha, they are thinking about what to do next and the French coach’s position is clearly under threat, along with sporting director Luis Campos, the man who put Galtier in the job.
According to Aouna, recent contacts have taken place between Luis Campos and José Mourinho, given that his name has often been linked with the PSG job, each time it has been available.
Whether the contacts develop into anything further is yet to be seen, but PSG bosses reportedly want Mourinho for his ability to stamp his authority on teams and deal with ‘difficult’ players.
