Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool are reportedly showing keen interest in Inter Milan tactician Simone Inzaghi, signalling a potential Premier League tussle for his services.
In recent years, Inzaghi has taken Inter to the Champions League final, and they look on course to lift the Serie A title this season, elevating the club’s status in both domestic and European competitions. Having previously showcased his managerial acumen during his tenure at Lazio, Inzaghi has truly come into his own with the Nerazzurri.
According to reports from Tuttosport, the Premier League powerhouses—Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool—are actively gathering information about Inzaghi, and are giving serious consideration to making a move for him at the end of the current campaign.
Despite Inzaghi’s current contract with Inter running until June 2025, earning him €5.5 million net per season plus add-ons, the allure of lucrative offers from the Premier League looms large. Its speculated that offers from English clubs could soar to €8-9 million per year, figures that Inter Milan may find challenging to match.
Alongside the Premier League clubs, La Liga side Barcelona has also emerged as a potential suitor, considering Inzaghi among their list of options.
While Inzaghi is content at Inter, reports suggest that he would seek an extension to his contract until June 2027 at the very least. Conversely, the club is eager to continue their journey with the esteemed coach, highlighting a mutual desire to progress together.
