Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is expected to undergo tests later today after another picking up another suspected injury. The Frenchman sat out all of last season and has already had some minor injury setbacks this campaign, slowing his full return to the first team.
Speaking after last nights 2-0 win over Empoli, Juve coach Max Allegri confirmed that Pogba felt some pain after the full time whistle, saying:
“He had a discomfort at the back, in his leg, we’ll see tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, from the exams, hopefully it’s nothing serious, because he was also finding an acceptable condition. He’s a different player from the others, you could see it when he came in, the way he handled the ball, so I’m sorry”.
Reports suggest the 30-year-old will undergo a medical check later today for a definitive diagnosis. Pogba wasn’t called up to the French squad for the latest international break so as to not hinder his gradual return to full fitness.
