Pobega: “For me Sunday will be a special game”

Start

With Milan set to face Torino at the Olimpico Grande Torino Stadium within match-week 12 of the Serie A, midfielder Tommasso Pobega touched upon how he feels about coming up against his former club.

Throughout last year’s campaign, the 23 year-old Rossonerri was loaned out to Djuric’s side for the entire season. The holding midfielder played a supplemental role within the central park as he made 33 appearances across all competitions for I Granata.

So far this season, the Italian international has proven that he has matured throughout his loan spell as he has made a total of 13 appearances under Pioli across all competitions.

In an interview Turin-based newspaper Tutto Sport, relayed by MilanNews, Pobega provided his insight of  playing under Djuric and his emotions ahead of returning to Turin to face his former team-mates:

Juric is a direct person, real. He does not like to mislead, if he has to tell you something, he tells it to your face.

For me Sunday will be a special game, in which I want to do well. Last season was personally a good season, I built good relationships and good bonds with several players, some staff and the club. We will meet a Torino side who will want to win, to show that all the work they do in training leads to a result.”
