Pimenta: ‘De Ligt never spoke ill of Juventus to me’

Start

Super agent Rafaela Pimenta is convinced that Matthijs De Ligt is not speaking ill of Juventus, rather ‘he making an analysis of what went wrong.’ The Dutchman has spoken on numerous occasions about why he left Juventus this summer in favour of a move to Bayern Munich. Speaking to TuttoSport, his agent remains convinced he is not insulting the Bianconeri:

I am not convinced that he speaks ill of Juventus, I believe Matthjis does a lot of self-analysis and does a lot of self-criticism. When I met Matthjis, he was 18 years old and he did not have a credit card and a wallet, on the other hand he always had a book with him, he read biographies voraciously.

He is always thinking about soccer and rethinking what he does. So I think he is not talking bad about Juventus, a club at which he had a great time, but he is making an analysis of what went wrong in the last few years and expressing it without filters as he does, he is a very transparent guy. We would have to understand what kind of questions he is being asked, some maybe a little malicious. When he was at Juventus, he never spoke ill of the club to me.

Donnarumma? I know that things are going well in Paris and Gigio is doing wonderfully, but the future nobody knows.

Gravenberch like Pogba? It’s a comparison they often make, I hope for him of course. Maybe they are not quite the same type of player, but I hope they have the same path. He has great talent.

Moise Kean? He’s a boy, he emerged at 16, he made a lot of money and it may have confused him, but he’s talented and he’s good. Everyone at Juventus agrees that he is a professional, they don’t blame him for bad behavior. He is a boy who now only asks you to play. Sometimes you forget that he is a class of 2000, but that is because he started early. Now he is becoming an adult, I always tell him that.”
