Pier Silvio Berlusconi, CEO of MFE-Mediaset, has expressed openness to bringing in new investors to support AC Monza’s development. Despite the club’s current struggles, sitting in the penultimate position in Serie A, Berlusconi remains committed to the team’s future.
During a press meeting at the Cologno Monzese television studios, Berlusconi stated, “Regarding Monza, I can say that our intention is to continue growing and find someone who can support or assist the team. Football is a complex world, but Monza represents an important project for us, which we want to evolve over time according to well-defined business and sporting logic.”
This is not the first time Berlusconi has hinted at the possibility of new shareholders. In July, during Mediaset’s schedule presentation, he addressed rumors of a potential sale: “Sale to Orienta Capital Partners? I don’t even know if we can say the negotiation has fallen through. They reached a certain point in the negotiation, then the parties stopped. I was never directly involved, but I know there was a good level of understanding. Then things didn’t go all the way through.”
Monza, still under Fininvest ownership, was brought to Serie A by Pier Silvio’s father, Silvio Berlusconi. Despite recent setbacks, including a disappointing loss to Udinese, the club’s management, led by Adriano Galliani, remains steadfast in their approach.
