Paul Pogba is ramping up his training efforts as he prepares for his return to professional football in 2025, following the reduction of his doping ban from four years to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports how the French midfielder, who plays for Juventus, will be eligible to resume training with his teammates in January 2025 and can return to competitive play in March of the same year. Pogba is not wasting any time and has already begun an intensive training regimen to ensure he’s in top form when he’s allowed back on the pitch.
Pogba has been keeping his fans updated on his progress through social media posts. He was also recently spotted at the Allianz Stadium during Juventus’ match against Cagliari, signaling his continued connection with the club despite his suspension.
The 30-year-old midfielder shared an Instagram story showing him working out in a pool, demonstrating his commitment to maintaining his fitness. Pogba’s last competitive appearance was on September 3, 2023, when he played 28 minutes against Empoli before his suspension took effect.
As for Pogba’s future with Juventus, his current contract runs until June 30, 2026. However, it remains to be seen how the club will approach his situation upon his return, given the lengthy absence from competitive football.
