Pastorello: “Arthur will return to Juventus”

Football agent Federico Pastorello confirmed that midfielder Arthur is set to return to Juventus this summer. The Brazilian has been on loan with Fiorentina this season, but speaking at the ‘TransferRoom’ event in Rome, Pastorello confirmed that La Viola will not be exercising the option to sign him. The agent also touched on a number of his other clients, beginning by addressing the controversy from yesterday’s match between Inter and Napoli:

“The Acerbi incident? It wasn’t a racially charged offense, it was misrepresented. He never said that phrase, and I believe Francesco’s words. He’s a morally upright person, and I have no doubts about what he tells me. They have cleared things up among themselves.” He added, “It must be acknowledged and penalized when such incidents occur, but only when the terms for doing so are met. From what Acerbi tells me, there was a dispute, but he did not use that expression with a racist connotation.”

On the future of Inter defenders Acerbi and De Vrij, Pastorello stated, “De Vrij renewed his contract this year and plans to stay. Acerbi also has a contract until 2025, and a renewal could be discussed in the future. They are both comfortable at Inter, and I foresee a future there for both.”

When asked about Acerbi’s prospects for the Euros, Pastorello expressed confidence, saying, “He is a reference point for the coach and the national team. His contribution will be significant, as his experience and character are valuable assets for any team, including Italy.”

Regarding Meret’s situation, Pastorello noted, “This season has been challenging for everyone at Napoli, including individuals like Alex. He had an outstanding season last year, and this year he is performing well, although the results are less remarkable. We are pleased with his performances and are in talks with the club regarding a new contract.”

Pastorello emphasized the need for an agreement, stating, “We will meet soon to determine if there is a possibility of renewal. If not – but I don’t believe so – we will consider other options because I don’t think Napoli can afford another Zielinski case.”

On the subject of Arthur’s future at Fiorentina, Pastorello explained, “Arthur’s contract reflects a different investment scenario from the current situation. At the end of the season, he will return to Juventus, and then we’ll see what happens. He is very happy in Florence, but whether the option will be exercised remains to be seen. There may be further discussions.”
