Palladino: Milan victory boosted Fiorentina’s momentum ahead of crucial month

Start

Fiorentina manager Raffaele Palladino spoke to the club’s official channels two days before their clash with Lecce, expressing optimism about the team’s recent progress and the challenges ahead.

“These have been days where we’ve maintained continuity in our work,” Palladino began. “They’ve been very useful. In today’s football, you play every three days, and being able to spend as much time as possible with the players is important. We’ve worked hard and sweated, and we already want to give continuity to our results in Lecce on Sunday.”

The coach acknowledged the surge of enthusiasm following Fiorentina’s victory over AC Milan. “I like the atmosphere. I care about enthusiasm. A nice climate has been created around the team, I see the group even more cohesive and united, creating what I like. It wasn’t easy to create it, but results help, and the victory against Milan meant a lot.”

However, Palladino was quick to emphasize the need for balance: “But we need equilibrium; in football, you can lose it quickly. We must maintain a lot of concentration, without getting too down in defeats and without getting too excited in victories. The team knows this, and knows that we will face a tough month of 7 games in 21 days. We have to push because it could be the turning point month.”

Palladino also commented on Christian Kouamé’s recent contract renewal: “Christian is generous, he gives everything, sweats for the shirt from the first to the last minute. I’m happy with what he’s doing and his contract renewal. Now he needs to add something in the finishing phase. Him like all the others, but I’m happy with the work that every attacker is doing because they’re helping the team even in the non-possession phase. They help each other, the goals will come. I have great potential up front, and I’m sure the goals will come.”
