Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has responded to videos posted by Napoli’s official TikTok account. The club posted two videos mocking the Nigerian forward after he missed a penalty during their 0-0 draw away to Bologna on Sunday.
Calenda has addressed the issues from the videos which have subsequently been deleted and has said that he will take legal action against Napoli as a result:
“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted. A serious fact that creates very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect.”

Here is Calenda’s post on social media in response to the videos:
Quanto accaduto oggi sul profilo ufficiale del Napoli sulla piattaforma TikTok non è accettabile. Un filmato che deride Victor è stato prima reso pubblico e poi, ma ormai tardivamente, cancellato. Un fatto grave che crea un danno serissimo al giocatore e si somma al trattamento…

There have been multiple issues surrounding Osimhen and Napoli of late. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is currently being investigated due to accusations of false accounting in relation to the forward’s signing from Lille back in 2020. A total of four youth players were exchanged by the Partenopei to Lille as part of the deal for the Nigerian and were valued at around €20 million combined.
However, all four players saw their contracts terminated with the French club, all within one year. Fabio Fulgeri, De Laurentiis’ lawyer, has stated that the prosecutors of Naples believe there was no crime committed for fiscal reasons.
