Udinese have made a significant addition to their squad by officially announcing the arrival of free agent Oumar Solet. The 23-year-old French defender joins the Serie A club after his contract with Red Bull Salzburg expired.
The Bianconeri confirmed the signing with a brief statement on their official channels, simply stating “Welcome Oumar Solet.” This acquisition marks an important reinforcement for Udinese’s defensive line.
Solet, born in 2000, developed his skills in the youth academy of Olympique Lyonnais before making a name for himself at Red Bull Salzburg. During his time with the Austrian club, he gained valuable experience in both domestic competitions and the UEFA Champions League.
While the signing has been made official, it’s worth noting that Solet will not be eligible to play for Udinese until January 2024. This is due to regulations surrounding free agent signings outside of the regular transfer windows.
