Start

Torino have officially confirmed the acquisition of Eljif Elmas, marking a significant addition to their squad. The Macedonian midfielder has arrived in Italy just a year after his departure from Napoli to join the Bundesliga.

Following the customary medical examinations, Elmas has put pen to paper on his new contract. The deal between Torino and RB Leipzig has been structured as a loan with an option to buy.

In their official statement, Torino expressed their delight in securing Elmas’s services. The club highlighted the player’s impressive career trajectory, which began in his native Macedonia with Rabotnički Skopje. At just 16, Elmas made his debut in the Macedonian top flight, quickly establishing himself as a promising talent.

Elmas’s journey then took him to Fenerbahçe in Turkey, where he gained valuable experience in European competitions. His move to Napoli in 2019 marked his entry into Italian football, where he enjoyed considerable success, including winning the Coppa Italia in 2020 and the Scudetto in 2023.

During his time in Naples, Elmas amassed an impressive 189 appearances across all competitions, contributing 19 goals and 11 assists. His performances caught the eye of RB Leipzig, who signed him in January 2024.

Now, at 25 years old, Elmas returns to Serie A with Torino, bringing with him a wealth of experience, including 65 caps for the North Macedonian national team, where he has scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists.
