Roma have announced the signing of former player Leandro Paredes who returns to the club after eight years away from the club. The Argentine international has spent five seasons with Ligue 1 champions before joining Juventus on loan for 2022-23. The Bianconeri decided against signing the 20-year-old outright, while PSG were happy to allow him to leave the club this summer.
Roma have now confirmed that Paredes has signed for them via a statement on the clubs official website:
AS Roma is thrilled to announce the return of World Cup winner Leandro Paredes to the club.
The 29-year-old midfielder has joined the club in a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain, putting pen to paper on a contract that runs until 30 June 2025.
“Coming back to Rome is always a special thing, but doing so now as a Roma player is even more special,” revealed Paredes. “I’d like to thank the fans for welcoming me and Roma for bringing me back to the club where I launched my career in Europe. Last year was an incredibly happy one for me with the World Cup, so now I want to keep tasting success and I’m convinced I can do just that with this team.”
