Roma have officially confirmed the signing of Spanish defender Angelino on an initial loan deal from RB Leipzig. The 27-year-old has joined the Giallorossi from the Bundesliga side, committing to a temporary agreement until June 30, 2024, with an option for a permanent transfer.
Upon completion of the deal, Angelino expressed his delight at joining AS Roma, stating, “When I heard the word Roma, I didn’t hesitate. Today, I’m proud to be a part of a great club with an incredible history and a team full of champions. I’m excited to meet the coach and my new teammates and put myself at their disposal.”
Tiago Pinto, Roma’s General Manager, Football, commented on the new addition, saying, “With Angelino, we welcome a fully matured player. We believe that his technical abilities, combined with his wealth of experience in the most competitive European leagues, can match and improve our squad’s potential.”
The Spanish defender brings not only his skills but also a significant level of experience to the AS Roma lineup. Angelino has previously played in top European leagues, showcasing his proficiency on the field.
Angelino is set to wear the No. 69 shirt for the Giallorossi, adding his name to the illustrious list of players who have represented the club.
