OFFICIAL: Roberto Gagliardini joins Monza

Monza have officially confirmed the arrival of free agent Roberto Gagliardini, who was recently left Inter. The midfielders contract with the Nerazzurri ended last week and he’s made the move to the Biancorossi. A statement on the clubs website confirmed the news: 

Roberto Gagliardini is officially an AC Monza player.

The Italian midfielder has signed a contract with the Biancorossi until 30th June 2024, with option to renew if certain conditions are met.

Born in Bergamo in 7th April 1994, Gagliardini grew up in Atalanta’s youth academy and makes his first team debut on 4th December 2013 in the Coppa Italia match against Sassuolo.

In January 2014 he joins Cesena on loan, where he scores in his Serie B debut against Varese and helps the team to reach the promotion to Serie A. After two other experiences on loan at Spezia and Vicenza, in January 2016 Gagliardini makes his Serie A debut against Genoa.

One year later he joins Inter, where he will collect 190 appearances in seven and a half seasons.
