Juventus have released a statement, officially confirming that they have parted ways with coach Massimiliano Allegri. The news had been expected as Allegri was seen leaving the clubs Coninassa headquarters earlier today, only to return hours later, with club director Cristiano Giuntoli also in attendance.
The suggestion is that Allegri’s actions following the Coppa Italia final had led the club to make the decision, after he allegedly had an altercation with a Tuttosport journalist. The club have released an official statement, saying:
“Juventus announces that it has relieved Massimiliano Allegri of his duties as head coach of the men’s First Team.
The dismissal follows certain behaviors exhibited during and after the Coppa Italia final that the club deemed incompatible with the values of Juventus and the conduct expected of its representatives.
This concludes a period of collaboration that began in 2014, resumed in 2021, and ended after the last three seasons together with the Coppa Italia final.
The club wishes Massimiliano Allegri good luck in his future endeavors.”
