Inter have officially completed the free transfer of former Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski. The Polish international opted not to renew his contract with the Partenopei in favour of joining the Nerazzurri as a free agent. A statement on the club’s official website confirmed the move, and Zielinski gave his first interview as an Inter player:
How did it feel to learn you would be playing for Inter?
“I am very happy because I’m joining one of the best sides in the world. It is an honour: I can’t wait to get started”

“It’s true, the midfield is one of Inter’s greatest strengths: I will try to play my part, hoping that the squad can be even stronger”.
You’ve played against Inter many times: what struck you about this squad? What was your secret last season?
“The games against Inter were always very hard: the team is well organised and high quality. They have always pressed well, winning the ball back as fast as possible: that was an important part of things, as well as the clear quality in the side”.
You know Italian football very well: how might this experience help you on this new adventure?
“I have been in Italy for 12 years and I am very happy to continue my career here: I feel good and I think I will adapt well to this side”.
You’re the first Polish player in Inter history: how proud are you?
“I am very proud to be the first Polish player to wear this prestigious shirt: Inter is a great team and I will try to do my best so we can achieve the best results possible”.
Playing at San Siro always give you that edge: what do you want to say to the Nerazzurri fans?
“I will try to give it my all to make the fans happy: they are fantastic and San Siro is one of the best grounds in Italy. I will do my best to show my skills and bring other trophies to the Club”.
