Genoa have officially announced the signing of Brooke Norton-Cuffy from Arsenal, marking an exciting addition to their squad. The 20-year-old right-back joins the Serie A club on a permanent transfer, with reports indicating that the fee agreed upon is around £1.7 million.
Norton-Cuffy, who was born in 2004, in London, has been a promising talent in English football. He developed his skills in Chelsea’s academy before moving to Arsenal in 2020. Although he has yet to make a senior appearance for the Gunners, he has gained valuable experience through several loan spells at various clubs, including Coventry, Rotherham, Lincoln City, and most recently, Millwall FC.
During his time at Millwall last season, Norton-Cuffy made a significant impact, featuring in 40 league matches, scoring two goals, and providing four assists. His performances in the Championship showcased his potential and ability to contribute offensively from the right-back position.
The young defender has also represented England at the U21 level, earning four caps, which highlights his growing reputation in youth international football.
Genoa’s decision to bring Norton-Cuffy to Marassi comes after the departure of Italy international Mateo Retegui, who recently transferred to Atalanta. The club is keen to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season, and Norton-Cuffy’s signing is seen as a step in the right direction.
