Fiorentina have officially confirmed the signing of Empoli full-back Fabiano Parisi on a five-year contract. The 22-year-old was linked with the likes of Juventus and Lazio following an impressive few year with Gli Azzurri, but La Viola have moved quickest to sign the young prospect.
A statement on the clubs official website confirmed the move:
ACF Fiorentina is delighted to announce the signing of Fabiano Parisi from Empoli FC on a permanent contract.
Born in Solofra, Campania on 9 November 2000, the 22-year-old defender has played 58 games and scored two goals in Serie A.
Parisi has made 11 appearances with one goal for Italy U21s and received his first call-up to the senior Azzurri squad last season.
Parisi was one of Empoli’s most important players in the last season, making 33 appearances in Serie A, scoring two goals and assisting two more.
