Turkish club Fatih Karagumruk have confirmed that they have decided to part ways with head coach Andrea Pirlo. The 44-year-old was appointed to the role last summer, but has been fired by the club with just three games of the Turkish Super-Lig season left.
The Italy legend had a muddled start to his time in Turkey, winning just one game in his first eight matches, but went on to an 11 game unbeaten run which included just one defeat in 15 matches.
Fatih Karagumruk announced today that Pirlo has officially been dismissed by the club ahead of their upcoming match against Kayseri.
His overall record at the club reads as 34 matches played, with 11 wins, 11 draws and 12 losses.
