Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have confirmed that Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas will join them from January 2024. Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed that the Macedonia international was sold in a recent interview with il Corriere dello Sport, saying Elmas wanted to play more regularly.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirms that deal is complete, saying Napoli are set to earn €25 million from the deal.
Elmas arrived in Naples in 2019 and went on to become a key part of the starting XI under coach Luciano Spalletti, eventually making 189 appearances for the Partenopei, scoring 19 goals across all competitions.
