Bologna have confirmed the signing of young defender Mihajlo Ilić on a permanent move from Serbian side FK Partizan. The Rossoblu officially announced the transfer of the 20-year-old in a statement on the clubs website:
Bologna FC 1909 can announce that Mihajlo Ilić has joined the Club from FK Partizan on a permanent basis.
The fifth Serbian player in the Club’s history, Ilic is a slender, right-footed defender born in 2003, one of the most interesting talents from the Balkans. With personality and a good sense of positioning, he anticipates play and gets forward. He is good at reading games and has an interesting long kick: a regular part of the Youth National teams, he received his first call-up to the Serbian senior side last October. At the same time, he was setting himself apart with a big start to the season at Partizan, the centre of a four-man backline in 18 of the 19 games, and always for the full 90. In November, he scored his first senior goal, in the league against Cukaricki, whilst he has also picked up 4 appearances in the preliminary rounds of the Conference League.
He joins the Rossoblù on a permanent basis from January 2024.
