Sassuolo have officially confirmed the signing of Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti on loan with obligation to buy. The young talent had been linked with a number of other Italian sides this summer, but the Neroverdi have beaten the competition to sign the 23-year-old in a costly deal.
Sassuolo have confirmed that the initial move is a a loan with obligation to make it permanent at the end of the season, in a deal that is expected to cost around €20m.
Sportitalia report that there is no buy-back option for the Nerazzurri in the deal and no release clause either for Pinamonti either, meaning Sassuolo will dictate terms, should he develop as expected.
Pinamonti has spent seasons on loan at Frosinone, Genoa and Empoli where he scored 13 goals in 36 Serie A appearances last season.
