Ajax marks the fourth club in Farioli’s coaching career. His prior managerial experience includes leading two Turkish sides: Fatih Karagümrük in 2021, where he set a record as the youngest head coach in the Turkish Super Lig, and Alanyaspor from 2021 to 2023. Before stepping into head coaching roles, Farioli began his professional journey as a goalkeeping coach in Qatar, subsequently holding similar positions with multiple Serie A teams such as Benevento and Sassuolo, working under the guidance of former Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi.

Farioli expressed his enthusiasm about joining Ajax in an official statement on the club’s website.

“I am delighted to be here in Amsterdam, and together with the other staff members, we will dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly. We want to reconnect with the DNA of the club, aiming to bring new energy with a positive way of working and thinking. I’m aware that there is a lot of work to do, but we have already begun preparing. We don’t want to waste any time getting ready for the new season and bringing Ajax back to where it belongs.”
