Ligue 1 side Nice are closing in on the signing of Atalanta forward Jérémie Boga, with the deal reportedly progressing quickly between the two clubs. The 26-year-old was on the verge of leaving La Dea in the winter transfer window, but the club opted to shut down talks at the last minute.
Sportitalia now report that Nice have made an opening bid of around €14 million to sign the Frenchman, while Atalanta are asking for closer to €18 million. Despite the marginal difference in valuations, there’s confidence in the deal being done.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports on similar lines, saying Boga is hoping to make the move to Nice, while both clubs are keen on completing the transfer.
Boga has never matched his explosive 2019-20 season for Sassuolo, scoring just two goals for Atalanta in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 campaigns.
