Napoli boss Rudi Garcia says Matteo Politano and new centre-back Natan are both on their way back to the squad. The Partenopei face off against Genoa tomorrow and speaking ahead of the game, Garcia spoke about the status of his squad following the international break, including Politano, Natan and Giacomo Raspadori:
“Seven games in 22 days is like running a marathon, the important thing is to start well. I got my players back on Thursday but they weren’t able to train at their best. So we can only train well today. I’m happy that there are no injured players with the exception of Politano, who will be able to be with us from the start or in the match”.
“I know Raspa played 70 minutes as a forward in the second Italy game. It’s a solution for him, when I talk about him I always say he can play anywhere in attack. I think he can also play as a centre forward because he has the qualities. It’s better for him to do something else besides the forward role because Osimhen plays there.
“Natan? He will be more ready than before. We have done a specific job for him. The time we didn’t have for him in preparation we have made up for now during the break. He had also came in with a knee discomfort from Bragantino, but he’s fine now.”
“Kvaratskhelia? I am not worried about Khvicha and the absence of goals. He has had bad luck, but I am sure he will score goals and make assists. As long as he is at his best, as he is at the moment.”
“Osihmen and Simeone we saw together when we tried to overturn the result against Lazio, so it could be a solution. I liked the way Cholito played.”
