The entourage of Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi have reportedly held talks with Milan about the possibility of taking over at the San Siro next season.
Incoming Milan sporting director Fabio Paratici was spotted leaving a hotel on Saturday after undergoing a meeting with the Italian boss’ agent.
The Serie A giants are expected to employ Paratici to oversee their transfer strategy for the 2025/26 campaign. With that in mind, the former Tottenham football director is keen to bring De Zerbi with him.
As per MilanNews, Paratici was present at the hotel which is famed for holding business talks amongst the football community. It was originally thought he was there to discuss terms with Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani.
However, that was deemed not to be the case. Instead, Paratici is keen to see De Zerbi replace Sergio Conceicao once the 2024/25 season concludes.

Will Roberto De Zerbi Move To Milan?
Interestingly, Roberto De Zerbi started his playing career with Milan but never actually featured for the senior side. Instead, he spent much of his time away from the San Siro on loan.
De Zerbi spent most of his soccer playing career in the lower divisions before he really made his name as a manager. However, he had to wait for his chance to blossom which came at Shahktar Donetsk.
He won the Ukrainian Super Cup in 2021 but left the club after the war with Russia a year later. English Premier League side Brighton was De Zerbi’s next destination.
For the Seagulls, De Zerbi really began to catch the eye. His tactical masterclasses helped Brighton secure European football for the first time in their history. They also got to the FA Cup semi-final in 2023.
Now with French side Marseille, De Zerbi has continued to impress. Naturally, that has caught the eye of Fabio Paratici who has a solid friendship with the 45-year-old.
However, Antonio Conte has also been linked with the Milan job. Competition for the sought-after position is high but if De Zerbi can oversee a strong finish to the season at the Stade Velodrome, that could tilt the scales in his favor.
