The side who can boast the most Serie A titles will come as little surprise to soccer fans across the globe.
Juventus take the honors with an impressive 36 victories to their name. The Old Lady’s first came in 1905 with the latest coming in 2019/20.
The Turin giants did win Serie A in 2005/06 but were stripped of their title owing to the Calciopoli scandal. Subsequently, Juve were demoted to Serie B as part of their punishment.
Taking the runner-up spot is reigning champions Inter. The Black and Blues have won Italy’s premier division 20 times and finished runners-up on 16 occassions.
Completing the podium places is Milan. The Red and Blacks are one title behind their city rivals on 19. They were last victorious in 2021/22.
Interestingly, Genoa are up next with seven Serie A title wins. However, all of their victories came between 1898 and 1923/24.
In fifth place, a trio of clubs have all won the Scudetto seven times. Those in question are Torino, Bologna and current Serie C side Pro Vercelli.
That is more than double the number of victories that the more renowned and recognized heavyweights Roma, Napoli, Lazio and Fiorentina can boast.
Five sides have won the Serie A title on a single occasion. They are Cagliari, Casale, Novese, Hellas Verona and Sampdoria. Therefore, a total of 16 clubs have won Italy’s elite division since it’s founding.
Juventus Has The Most Serie A Titles Followed By Inter And Milan
Juventus may have the most Serie A title wins but the Turin-based club haven’t come close to lifting the Scudetto since their last victory in 2019/20.
In that season, soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was a regular at the Allianz Stadium. The Portuguese forward netted 31 goals in 33 appearances.
Since he left in 2021, Juve have finished 4th on two occasions, third and seventh. In 2024/25, newly-appointed manager Igor Tudor finds the club in 5th position.
Inter are the current Serie A leaders and therefore, have the most realistic chance of adding to their tally. However, Napoli are hot on their heels and are just three points off top spot.
Italy’s third most successful league side are Milan. The Red and Blacks are struggling in ninth position. Recent reports suggest Antonio Conte could take over at the San Siro next year.
The same applies for Roberto De Zerbi. The 45-year-old had meetings with incoming sporting director Fabio Paratici at a city hotel in March 2025.
