Who Is The Most Successful Club In Coppa Italia History And How Many Trophies Have They Won?

Start

The club who has the most Coppa Italia titles is none other than the country’s most successful side of all-time.

Global giants Juventus takes the top spot with an impressive 15 wins to their name. The Old Lady were first victorious in the competition in 1938 and their most recent was last year.

However, the Turin-based side won’t be adding to their tally in 2025. They were knocked out by Empoli in the quarter-final on February 26.

Up next is both Inter and Roma who can boast nine Coppa Italia titles each. I Nerazzurri enjoyed their first success in 1939 and were last victorious two years ago.

Claudio Ranieri’s men landed their first in 1964 but haven’t lifted the trophy since 2008. Taking the final podium position is Lazio who have won the Coppa Italia seven times.

Up next are Fiorentina and Napoli. Both sides have won the competition six times. Torino and Milan are close behind with five wins each.

Sampdoria have four Coppa Italia titles safely secured in their trophy cabinet. Interestingly, three of their victories came in the 1980s.

Parma have a trio of wins to their name and Bologna have two. The latter do have the chance to increase their tally as they are in the 2025 semi-final.

Last up is a quintet of clubs who all have one Coppa Italia success. Those in question are Atalanta, Genoa, Vado, Venezia and Vicenza. Overall, a total of 16 teams have won the competition.

Juventus Are The Most Successful Coppa Italia Side In The Competition’s History

Juventus are head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to winning the Coppa Italia. The Old Lady has six more titles than anyone else in Italy.

Interestingly, their last six wins have all come between 2015-2024. More notably, they won the Coppa Italia across four consecutive seasons in that period.

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was part of the side who were victorious in 2021. Although he didn’t score in the final, he helped inspire Juve to a 2-1 win against Atalanta.

Meanwhile, Inter have a chance to get into double figures this year. Simone Inzaghi’s side face bitter rivals Milan for a chance to progress to the 2025 final.

Much of Roma’s success came in the 20th century but they did win back-to-back Coppa Italia’s in 2007 and 2008. Their last win actually came against Inter at the Stadio Olimpico.

Unsurprisingly, all three clubs have the most final appearances in the Coppa Italia. Juventus lead the way on 22 with Roma on 17 and Inter 15.
