The latest Milan transfer news has revealed that two first team stars will be moved on this summer with a squad overhaul expected at the San Siro.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri want to raise funds to be more active in the transfer window. A new Head Coach and Sporting Director are also highly prioritized.
The players in question who are likely to be sold are Theo Hernandez and Fikayo Tomori. Both have had rather underwhelming campaigns in 2024/25.
Milan Transfer News Suggests Hernandez And Tomori Could Be Sold
Hernandez is a huge fan’s favorite but with his contract due to expire in 2026, shipping him off this year will ensure maximum funds are received.
With that being said, the France international won’t fetch a fee that was touted in seasons gone by. A figure of €60 million ($65 million) was previously reported.
With time running out on Hernandez’s current deal, a valuation of approximately €30 million ($32.8 million) is more realistic. Milan will likely add future bonuses to any potential deal.
News of Hernandez’s availability is likely to interest a whole host of clubs across Europe and the Saudi Pro League. Even MLS clubs may try their luck.
However, the 27-year-old is still very much in his prime and he’ll likely want to sign for a club that can offer UEFA Champions League football next season.
Elsewhere, Tomori looks destined to leave Milan after appearing just once in the last nine fixtures across all competitions. The former Chelsea defender could look to move back to the Premier League.
Tomori has often been linked with a move away from Milan and the coming weeks could be his last as a Rossoneri player. His fee could be around the same as Hernandez’s but he has an extra year on his contract to run.
In other Milan transfer news, the futures of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Samuel Chukwueze and Emerson Royal are all up in the air. The trio could also be sold to help the 2025/26 Milan revolution.
Someone of which that Milan will fight to keep this summer is Rafael Leao. The Portuguese left winger has been linked with a mega-money move to either Arsenal or Real Madrid.
