Start

Inter Milan Ultras the Curva Nord have launched a scathing attack at their own club over the rising cost of ticket prices for home games.

With prices on the rise at Inter, the club’s Ultras have announced that they will protest the expensive tickets.

In a damning statement, the Nord revealed there will be 20 minutes of silence from the start of every home game at the San Siro.

Inter Milan Ultras To Protest The “Shamefully Expensive” Ticket Prices

Ahead of the Milan derby on Wednesday, April 23, Inter fans can pay as much as 220€ for pitchside seats.

Meanwhile, the same seats against Udinese on Sunday can set Inter fans back up to 190€, according to the club’s official website.

The disgruntled Ultra group are now making their anger known and plan to protest the “shamefully expensive” ticket prices.

What Did The Statement From The Curva Nord Say?

“Months have passed since events that have severely affected our Curva,” the statement read, as per FCInter1908.

“Months in which we’ve reorganized to preserve the history of an ultras movement that began over 55 years ago. Months in which we’ve had to grit out teeth. Continuing down our path, navigating repression and crazy bans.

“Months in which we’ve bent over backwards to follow Inter to away matches. Months in which we’ve been forbidden to display even the most banal banner on the barricades.”

The statement goes on: “Months in which our flags have not been able to fly. Months in which we haven’t been able to set up any kinds of choreography. And months in which we’ve had to endure a shameful increase in ticket prices, both home and away.”

The Nord then criticized the club’s decision to ban flags and banners from the Ultras, with the group allegedly facing legal difficulties. The statement continued: “After months, we still haven’t been told why the group banners and our flags cannot be in the stadium. Banners and flags that have represented hundreds of people for decades.”

“Symbols of spontaneous youth passion that have united generations of fans in the name of their faith in Inter.

“Following the most recent meeting, we’ve decided that the time has come to start demonstrating our discontent. Therefore, from the next match on, we will observe a period of silence as a protest during the first twenty minutes of every match.

“Repression and insane costs are wearing down our passion. We can’t stand idly by and watched. The prices for matches against Feyenoord and Bayern Munich were the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
