Nicolò Fagioli, the new Fiorentina midfielder, spoke at his official presentation press conference, touching on his relationship with teammate Moise Kean, whom he has known since their time in Juventus’ youth sector. Fagioli shared his thoughts on various topics, including Kean’s performance, his first impressions of the team, and his own characteristics as a player.
When asked about Kean’s season, Fagioli was full of praise: “He’s having an extraordinary season. He spoke to me like a leader, telling me that I need to behave well… I’ve known him for 14 years, since we were in Juventus’ youth sector.”
Fagioli expressed his satisfaction with his initial days at Fiorentina: “I’ve settled in very well, finding an extraordinary group. Kean is having a fantastic season. I immediately felt at ease. Now I’m very happy.”
Reflecting on the team’s recent victory, Fagioli commented: “On Thursday, we played an extraordinary match. It doesn’t happen every day to win 3-0 against Inter… Now we’ll see if we can confirm our form on Monday, again against the Nerazzurri, but at San Siro.”
When asked about his characteristics as a player, Fagioli provided a balanced self-assessment: “My strengths are my technique and vision of the game. My weaknesses might be headers and the need to stay focused for the full 90 minutes.”
Fagioli also shared his connection to Florence: “My grandfather and my cousin are Fiorentina fans… They’ve always spoken well of Florence. I’ve often talked about Florence with my former teammates Nico Gonzalez and Vlahovic.”
