Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Joao Felix is set to return to Chelsea this summer, as Milan have decided against making his loan move a permanent one.
Fabrizio Romano: Milan Won’t Sign Joao Felix Permanently
Milan flop Joao Felix is set to return to Chelsea this summer following confirmation that I Rossoneri won’t be making his loan move a permanent one after failing to impress at the San Siro.
Since joining from the Stamford Bridge outfit in late January, Felix has managed just one goal in 11 appearances across all competitions, which came during his debut in a 3-1 win over Roma in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
Given his lack of impact, it’s hardly surprising to hear that he won’t be staying in Milan beyond the summer.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his social channels, writing: “AC Milan and João Félix won’t continue together beyond this season after loan deal from Chelsea.
“Feeling from beginning of March again confirmed now, with João expected to return to Chelsea.
“Chelsea will assess the situation in the summer to find a potential new club.”

It comes just days after I Rossoneri were beaten 2-1 away at Napoli – a result that leaves them in ninth place in the Serie A table – in which Felix was brutally told to “pass the ball” by Kyle Walker during the half-time break.
Clearly, the Portuguese forward didn’t take the Manchester City loanee’s advice, as he was shipped off for Samuel Chukwueze just 10 minutes into the second period.
Despite his impending departure, Felix still has the opportunity to redeem himself in red and black, and that starts on Wednesday when they face off against city rivals Inter in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tie.
The second leg will be played towards the end of the month, and either Empoli or Bologna await in the final as Milan bid to lift the trophy for a sixth time in their long, glittering history.
