Newly promoted Como interested in Joaquin Correa and Mauro Icardi

Start

Newly promoted Como are being linked with moves for Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi and Inter’s Joaquin Correa. The team owned by Indonesian brothers Robert and Michael Hartono are set to make a return to Serie A after 21 years away from Italy’s top flight, and will be looking to reinforce their squad.

According to reports from the Italian newspaper La Provincia (via TMW), Como club seem determined to make a big splash in the transfer market. They are reportedly targeting some high-profile names to join the ranks under the management of Cesc Fabregas.

Among the first names circulating in the rumor mill are  Correa and Icardi, with Correa rumored to be nearing a return to Inter Milan and Icardi currently playing for Galatasaray.

While securing Correa might be within reach, signing former Inter captain Icardi presents a different challenge altogether. This is due to his contract, which expires in two years (June 2026), and his substantial wage demands.
