New Juventus signing Vasilije Adzic injured

Juventus is continuing its preparation for the start of the 2024/25 Serie A season, with their home debut against Como scheduled for Monday, August 19th at 20:45.

Today, an in-house friendly match is being played at the Allianz Stadium between Thiago Motta’s first team and Paolo Montero’s Next Gen squad. However, one notable absence from this match will be Vasilije Adzic.

The 18-year-old Montenegrin attacking midfielder has suffered a muscular injury that will sideline him for at least two weeks. In 10 days, new medical examinations will be conducted to precisely determine the prognosis and, consequently, the definitive recovery time.

Juventus have released an official statement regarding Adzic’s condition: “This morning, Adzic underwent diagnostic tests at J|Medical, which revealed a low-grade injury of the rectus femoris in his right thigh. New examinations will be carried out in 10 days to define the prognosis accurately.”

This setback comes as disappointing news for both the player and the club, as Adzic, who recently joined Juventus, was looking to make an impression in the pre-season. The young talent will now focus on his recovery, hoping to be back in action as soon as possible and potentially in time for the start of the new Serie A campaign.
