Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is reportedly interested in a move to Arsenal, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. This comes after Chelsea’s recent interest in the Nigerian striker has waned.
Sky Sport Italia report that discussions had taken place between Napoli and Chelsea regarding a possible player-exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Osimhen. However, the deal is now unlikely due to the significant disparity in the players’ valuations.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is actively seeking the best possible price for Osimhen, who has expressed a desire to play in the Premier League. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen on Osimhen, but no concrete negotiations have taken place yet.
Osimhen, 25, has a €160 million release clause in his contract. Interested clubs are expected to negotiate for a lower transfer fee due to the high release clause.
