During the pre-match interview for the Napoli-Modena Coppa Italia game, Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, addressed the media about the club’s transfer activities, particularly regarding Victor Osimhen and potential incoming players like Romelu Lukaku and David Neres.
“Victor is a player who wants to leave,” Manna stated. “We are calm because we have players in the squad to replace him. Osimhen is a strong player, but we want to maintain the integrity of the group. We will see what happens in the next 20 days.”
Regarding potential signings, Manna clarified: “Lukaku is a Chelsea player, and with Raspadori and others in the squad, we are calm. An offensive player could arrive, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be Lukaku. We will be ready to take advantage of any opportunities.”
Manna also spoke about Neres, saying, “He is a strong player from Benfica. We are following many players, and it will take time to determine the best solutions for us.”
As the transfer window progresses, Napoli remains focused on maintaining a balanced and competitive squad while navigating the complexities of player movements.
