As Napoli prepare to face Juventus in the fifth round of Serie A, the club’s sporting director Giovanni Manna spoke to DAZN before the match, addressing several key topics.

Manna began by paying tribute to the recently departed Totò Schillaci, stating, “I believe it’s our duty to remember an important player like him.”

Regarding the relationship with manager Antonio Conte and the team, Manna expressed optimism: “The coach and I have started a journey together, there’s mutual respect and trust. We’re happy, we’ve begun a path and we hope it will be as long as possible.”

When asked about his past with Juventus, Manna acknowledged the emotional significance of the match while emphasizing his current focus: “For me, there’s great emotion today, but I’m focused on the present and future, which is Napoli. I spoke with Giuntoli, and he shared some anecdotes. I’m proud to be here.”

Discussing the squad and the club’s ambitions, Manna said, “We have a roster that we believe is competitive. Objectives? This is a first uphill stage, but we must stay focused on daily work. We know where we want to go.”
