Napoli have reportedly slapped a €180 million valuation on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, with PSG interested in signing him. The 24-year-old helped the Partenopei secure the 2022-23 scudetto and remains one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe this summer. Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently said that Osimhen had agreed a two-year contract extension but the latest reports from Italy suggest that is not the case.
Sky Sport Italia report that the players agent met with De Laurentiis on Friday to discuss Osimhen’s future, but there was no agreement reached on a new deal.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report this morning that PSG have already sounded out Napoli with a reported €100 million bid for the striker. According to their report, De Laurentiis rebuffed the deal, asking for closer to €180 million instead.
Osimhen has returned to Nigeria for the moment, but talks are expected to continue in the weeks ahead, given the good relations between PSG and Napoli.
